Seeing a person of another race outlines just what interracial dating is.

Is this beyond understanding for some white folks or black people?
Who really cares about the color of someone’s skin color?

I need to find love in all of the right places, and if somebody black is going to turn me on, respect me, and I respect him, then we have diddly squat to be afraid of about.

Recent reports state that 18% of black marriages happen with whites. It’s also revealed that black men are 2.9 times more likely marry to a white gal than a black gal to a white guy.

Just have glance at black athletes and their better halves. This is an ongoing trend with males and females. In 1972 there were 350,000 documented interracial unions ; in 1982 there were 660,000 cases reported, in 1999 there were 1,500,000. Polls show that just one in one hundred folk announced that they were against black and white unions. This shows you the world has grown up and is more accepting.
Why did I date a black guy rather than a white man? Well, I had plenty of failed relations with white men, and I decided to try something new. I was just seeking love.

I was almost fed-up with the dating game and was about to quit the whole dating process till I met my hubby. He is not a saint, but he’ the person I have been looking for my whole life, and the indisputable fact that he is black is merely an advantage. You have got to fall madly in love with someone of another race, and understand that you don’t see a black man, but a kind and generous person.

The pros of interracial dating :

- Learning about another cultures.
- Finding a man or woman your really interested in.
- Not being on your own.

The Cons of interracial dating :

- Bias people.
- Family issues.
- Differences in backgrounds.
- Kids.
- Stigma.

What about having kids?

Do we raise youngsters in this defective world giving them conflicts to address after they’re born? Will the children have to suffer because 2 folks of different races wish to be together? How about a loving pair of people coming together in their love for each other … On the way they brings kids into a joyous union between 2 loving people who just turns out to be an interracial couple?

Why even look at us as an interracial couple. We are just 2 happy people in love.

Why is a lot of the world still bias? I am in love with a black man, and we had problems strangers, relatives and even friends. All I saw was a single person I was interested in. His skin color played no role in our relationship, nor should it.

I need to admit that it was a bit strange at the start. I was thinking about the views of my chums and my family. Naturally, some did not support of my relationship with him. Some of his family thought he shouldn’t be seeing me either. But, most were OK with the fact we were dating. We cared about one another so we focus on ourselves, and our goals and don’t worry about what other people think.

Over time, most of the people that didn’t like us being together, got over it. They started to see that we were just another couple in love.

He was my soul-mate, and I was the luckiest lady on the earth.
